Service Description
This counseling session is designed to create a comprehensive understanding of the client's unique circumstances. During this first meeting, we will explore the client's personal, family, and mental health history, any medical concerns he or she has, the client's cultural background and trauma experiences. Additionally, we will discuss the client's goals for counseling and identify strengths and support systems that can help the client on the journey toward healing and growth. In essence, the client will be given the opportunity to begin sharing his or her story.
Cancellation Policy
Counselling sessions can be cancelled or rescheduled up to 48 hours in advance. Clients are able to cancel their appointment online up to 48 hours before the session start time. For missed appointments or cancellations made after this time-frame, 50% of the session fee will be charged unless the client can provide documentation of an emergency situation or illness (for example, a doctor's note, an emergency room visit note) by email within 7 days of the missed appointment. Established clients can book their counselling sessions online. Potential clients can rebook a cancelled Discovery Call online. Initial Assessments cannot be booked online by a client. When an Initial Assessment is cancelled by the client, he or she will need to contact the counsellor to request a new appointment, either by phone, text or email.
